This dome, the Cathedral
of Florence, was designed by Brunelleschi. But also with the help of
Ghiberti, and it still took ovr 25 years to complete. Ghiberti carved a
very intricate design onto the doors of the dome. He created a great sense
of depth and space in his carving on the doors. Together the two created
and beautiful piece of architecture.Beautiful architecture helped
to atract visitors from many parts of the world. This made Florence famous
which definitely helped it economically. And politically it showed
how they were advancing in the world, especially artistically and creatively.

In fact, he even translated the Bible to Greek in order to enforce his efforts even more. Erasmus also tried to turn around the trend of the increasing emphasis on ritual and rules of Catholic faith. He did this by creating something that he called "The Philosophy of Christ" in which it encouraged believers and Christians to fully look at Christ's life and words. Examining this would cause people to see examples of ethical behavior and love.
Socially Erasmus helped to spread Christianity and what he believed was right. And i really do think all his efforts paid off, or at least they seem like they did.
